Health Care
To keep local residents in good health, nearly 40 hospitals and medical centers serve the Hudson Valley. Specialists of all kinds abound and also can be found nearby in such world-famous institutions as Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and the Albany Medical Center.

One in eight jobs in the Hudson Valley is in the health-care industry. You can be sure that the highest quality medical care is available close to home. Following is a list of the 38 hospitals that are members of the Northern Metropolitan Hospital Association, which is committed to helping health-care facilities in the Hudson Valley to increase their operational effectiveness and better meet the public's health-care needs.
