NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. (June 13, 2011) – A pharmaceutical executive is the newest member on the board of the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp.

Alexander Tosi is Senior Director, Business Process Management and Strategy at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and is responsible for both strategic planning and operational analysis at the Pfizer facility in Pearl River. Tosi started with Wyeth, which is now Pfizer, in 2002. He was Senior Director, Operational Excellence and Project Management for Pfizer, until attaining his current position in 2009. He also worked at Accenture for 16 years where he was an Associate Partner in their Pharmaceutical Practice.

“Alex brings extensive pharmaceutical management skills to the HVEDC board,” said Mike Oates, CEO and President of the group. “Alex’s industry expertise will help us grow NY BIOHUD VALLEY – making it the right destination for life science companies considering locating or expanding in the region. HVEDC is the leading economic development agency for the seven-county region that includes Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland, Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties.
